We take his favorites and theme 'em.

1st Birthday Theme: Balls, Balls, and more Balls

2nd Birthday Theme: My Toolbox

3rd Birthday Theme: Batman

And, if my guess is on, I'm thinking Luke's Birthday theme for next year could have something to do with golf clubs or violins.

My birthday theme for this year, however--being that it's my golden birthday as well as the big 3-0 for me--would have something to do with flipflops, bathtubs, or surprises. Since I do love each of those.

What would you theme your birthday this year?

Well if it's supposed to be something we're currently loving...it would definitely be knitting. Not sure how to make that a theme, though!

He's so cute. I just LOVE his 1st birthday picture. So sweet!

And as for my upcoming birthday in just 3 weeks, I'll see your flipflops. But I'm raising you 1 pair of shorts, 1 sleeveless top and feeling the warm sun on my skin!

Have a great week,
Pam

Difficult question.

Either shiitakes, kimchi, or origami zeppelins.

Or Chuck Taylors.

I'm feeling crafty this year so I might have a crafty birthday for the big 3-0 this year! Or probably like you flipflops, those are my favorite!!

Hittin' the Big 3-0 here too! I think my theme this year should be the Wii....since I told myself I was going to buy it for moi for my 30th :-)

And no one else can touch it! LOL - kidding of course.

I would have a "Not-Pregnant" theme. That would be awesome.

oh my sweet youngin....the big 3-0. I remember that day, yet so long ago. LOL

hmmmmm, I think I would want it to be perfect fitting jeans theme.....or.....comfy sandals or Jesus Joggers as my kids call them.

I don't get to use this for my boys so I would be content with a Hello Kitty party every single year. That's right, I'm in my 30s. So what?!? :)

Although my bday was a few weeks ago, I wish I would have thought of a "let mom sleep an entire night without waking her up" theme. I also like the idea of a "please don't sneak-poop in the corner of the diningroom" theme. How 'bout "would someone else please feed the dogs" theme? Ahhh.... I'm getting warmer.....Congrats on the big number 3, Luke!
