Chop Chop...a CONTEST

UPDATE: The Chop Chop contest is now closed. Congratulations Erin!

This might be one of my top 5-Second Flavor Fixes! It makes my mouth water just looking at it.

And I think the only thing that could possibly make this Veggie Sandwich that's smooshed between it's Asiago bagel from the "Day Old" bin at Bruegger's any more gradiose, is to place it in a flashy celophane bag and tie it with a green ribbon.

We all know everything looks better in celophane.

But what we all don't know is that this new game Snorta that I snagged at the game store the other night is so fun that it makes your cheeks burn. I brought it along to the Heart Healthy class that I taught at a friend's house the other night, and we played 'til we couldn't see anymore.

So, I've decided. In paying tribute to games, and fun, quality timin' it, and burning cheeks, I'm hosting a CONTEST!

What I mean by contest is leave a favorite 5-Second Flavor Fix of yours in the comment section and earn a chance at a fabulous, crafted, Holy Cow! that's cute item by playing along. I'll round up all our players and leave the rest up to random.org. Then in my next post I'll announce the winner. Doesn't sound too bad, eh?

Now, chop chop!

(I don't mean run and chop chop up some cucumbers, tomato, spinach, and red onion like I did. But if you happened to, you wouldn't regret it.)

Hmmm.....I guess my favorite 5-second Flavor Fix would have to be my "Super Food" salad I eat (w/a bowl of soup) every day for lunch.

I use baby spinach, red/orange/yellow pepper, purple cabbage. and toasted sunflower seeds. I toss it with whatever sort of vinegrette I picked up at the store for the week. This week it's Roasted Garlic Balsamic. Sometimes I turn it into a entree salad by adding a few table spoons of beans, some chicken or a hard boiled egg, and a little bit of shredded cheese. Yummmy!!

I love spicy things (good thing since my hubby is from mexico!!) and i love to put cannd jalapeños (the kind that come in a can or jar with sliced carrots and onions. sometimes called pickled jalapeños) on sandwiches. that sandwich you've got there would be awesome with some jalapeños! yum!!!

It's hard for me to stay away from almonds dipped in black olive hummus. I like to make mine, but I buy it when it's on sale too.

Your sandwich looks yummy.

My 5-second flavor fix of late is a can of tomato soup with basil and cracked pepper, and a little cheese. So fast, and so satisfying. My girls shocked me by taking a liking to this as well - they drink theirs with a straw without even stopping for a breath!

My five second flavor fix is peanut butter. A little scoop of peanut butter and a handful of apple slices and pretzels to dip in it--that's actually my lunch more often than I'd care to admit! :)

Of course, only in season, but...

zuccinni slices,
topped w/ sliced grape tomatoes,
topped w/ pepper jack cheese (or fromage of your choice!)

heat it up (I nuke mine, but if you're anti-waves, you can throw it in the toaster oven).

And YUM, scrum.

Thanks Tiff!, Fingers X'ed!

My fav...oh that's too hard! But ONE of my fav's is just a plain ol batch of amazingly "lime-y" quacamole with some good chips!

Another...peanut sauce with carrots!

Another...no wait...I'll stop!

Oh, I love to throw some black beans and shredded EXTRA sharp cheddar in a whole wheat tortilla and call it delicious!

When my garden is in season I love to grab a kohlrabi, slice it up, and enjoy each crunchy bite. In the fall I love to go to the apple orchard. Apples with caramel are oh so delicious. In the winter I make soups weekly and eat them every day for lunch. It's so quick and yummy. Right now I'm eating a Chilean soup called Casuela. Not sure what my Spring fix would but I eat hummus almost daily. I've discovered a new brand Holy Land and I'm in love. :)

Hi my name is Erin and I'm a sweet-a-holic.

My favorite and easiest 5 Second Flavor Fix is S'mores in the microwave. Take your graham cracker half, top with 1/4 hershey bar, a marshmallow, and the other half graham cracker and microwave for 5-10 seconds. Yum Yum Yum

This may be a little more than 5 seconds, but ranch cream cheese and cukes on crackers or little breads is just divine on a hot summer day!

A cold, crisp kosher dill pickle!

Chocolate. Any kind. Eat through the wrapper if it takes more than 5 seconds to open it.

That looks so delicious that I wish I had had that for dinner instead of a grilled cheese sandwich!

I saw it yesterday but didn't have time to comment. FYI, it made me hungry yesterday, too!

You're a fun-loving gal so I want to "share some love" with ya. I've tagged you on my blog so hop back over and check it out. It's totally easy and not the same as your last one ;-)

Have a great weekend,
