Norah and Hazel's Polka Dot Bash

Today we celebrated these two little girls' 2nd Birthday. Polka Dot Style. (Remember them last year? And here, here, here, here, and here.) :

(Hazel: L Norah: R)

Family and friends joined us--in their suits--in our front yard for lots of water fun. They plowed down slip-n-slides, dove down blow up, yellow, water slides, and splashed in their pool of choice.

After we all took a break to eat dinner together, we enjoyed this cake that great grandma made and decorated, per my specifications:

Yes. It tasted as good as it looks. And, yes, we have lots of leftover M&M's sitting in our cupboard. And, yes, their posh bibs are from these guys.

Then we all witnessed what organized chaos looks like while the twins opened their presents:

And, thanks to the blue skies, balloons, and buddies, our bash was a big hit.

How awesome does that par-tay look??~~?

They are just scrumptious.....almost as scrumptious as that cake. YUM-MEE!

Glad you had a blast....you are one one of the coolest mamas I "know".

ok, and one last thing. Can I tell you I relived the days of slippin and sliding and doing major damage from that pointy rock that was hidden underneath. yowch!

Love the polka dot theme! Their hair has gotten soo long. It makes them look like big girls instead of babies. I do love the swimsuits too ;)

I'm diggin' the polka dot flag banner. Too cute!

And I think it's adorable that your girls have the exact same expressions in the first and last pictures you posted here. Those must be typical looks for them! :)

Just read your tweet in taking PJs off then peeing/pooping/whathaveyou. We use safety pins from the inside out to pin down the zipper. But we have never thought of the putting on backwards idea ~ Good thinking!!! Btw, Happy Birthday Girlies!!

Wow, the older they get the less 'identical' they look. Very cute birthday party. I'm doing one for my 3 under 3 (no more, as of yesterday!) on Friday.

Lovin' the polka dots AND the girls. Ohhh...two. I loved two. Someone stole my two-year-old and replaced him with a maniac in the spring, though! But your girls look way too sweet in all of their polka-dotted glory to have an ounce of maniac in them. :)
