from the mouths of babes

"Hey! Juj! I love that picture you're coloring...especially the pink part."

"Yeeeea, it's for Kendall and Kylee's grandpa."

"Well honey...Kendall and Kylee's grandpa doesn't live here anymore, he's in heaven."

"Yea, I know. I'm going to take it to him."

"Oh. Ok. So, how are you going to get it there?"

"I'm going to take it with me when Jesus comes and gets me."

(me: smile. sigh.)

That is precious! I love when my children talk about Jesus. How did the zucchini turn out for you? Did you make the to die for chocolate cake? or the healthy stir-fry :)

God has borrowed us a remarkable little girl who is blessed beyond measure. Before having kids I was unsure what aspects of these little lives would make me the most proud. However, it couldn't be any clearer now...the immense love one can have for Jesus is above all things. A three year old sweetheart is able to teach me all I need to know about my duties on earth. Thank you Lord for giving us Julia.

That's so precious. I love it.
Although- I Have to say, my little Alex is always talking about how he wants to go see Jesus and doesn't want to wait until he's a grandpa to go to heaven and see jesus, he wants to go now. I'm always like, "no, honey- you have to wait till you're really, really old to go see Jesus..." (panic, panic, pray for protection, panic)....

What an incredible reminder of how simple and pure faith is...of course God would speak through a child to remind us, adults, to get back to the purpose of life--Jesus.

You two are remarkable parents..
All the blessings!
