Dirt & Dandelions

Our delightful little dude helped me dig in the backyard the other day.

After he decided to dig definite deformities in the neighbor's ditch, I directed him to drag his dad's shovel back to our deer loving dominion.

Darn near two minutes later, he delivered these to my side:

Donchaknow! A dandelion delivery! Are those flowers for me, dear little one?

What a dirty, drippy nosed, dande-lovin' darling he is!

(Some S, B & P fun, too!)

Boy. What a darling dude indeed.

Do you eat dandegreens ever? They're nice a bitter and make a delectable green salad.

Oh I love that....you have the sweetest kids!!!

Jacob likes to do that too..he'll walk in with flowers that he's picked and of course Caleb watches everything he does and wants to be just like him so now anytime we're near grass Caleb picks up a bunch and says...for you mama :)

During the dandelion season, if you eat dandelion green salads, or drink dandelion tea, you will have more energy then you can use. I do have a recipe for dandelion jelly if anyone wants to try it.
Happy Mothers Day!

My little ones always bring me dandelions... presented in a boquet! It's really, really hard to keep those beautiful "flowers" around- but as soon as think they've forgotten about it, I toss 'em.
